Salon tanning is popular among people headed off to a sunny beach holiday. No one wants to appear on the beach exposing pasty white skin. The UV from the sun is unregulated, unlike sunbeds. As long s there are responsible salons offering the service, UK residents will probably never voluntarily give up salon tanning.
