Gipuzkoa designer Roberto Etxebarria is another of the rookies and new faces from the world of designers who debuted at the Pasarela Cibeles this year thanks to the Ego.
Etxebarria Roberto was born in Eibar, Gipuzkoa, but since 2005 living in Barcelona. This young fashion talent was clear that the world was his creation when he decided to start in bag design and completed advanced studies in fashion design at Felicidad Duce, in the Catalan capital. His perseverance and hard work has been carried in the Pasarela Cibeles debut in February 2011 thanks to the Ego.
Since 2005 he has worked as assistant designer Sergei Povaguin, with whom he has worked in collections such as Gaudí 2005, Bride Spain 2006, Ego Cibeles three rounds, obtaining L’OREAL Prize for best collection of ego in the 2008 editions , 2009.
It should be noted that since 2008 has its own signature: ETXEBARRIA.
Some of his most important collections are inspired by a classic but modern man, a combination that makes his original and striking designs. Proof of this is the collection Night Calls, which was introduced in 2008 Vigo Gateway getting a consolation prize, the Library Dress Code, Gateway Vigo 2009, which won the second prize and, above all, the collection Portraits with which surprised Creamoda Bilbao 2010, which won first prize.
